Kevin Whitiker Chevrolet is the closest dealer to me (Greenville SC) with c7 allocation and therefore service capabilities. Any feedback on their service? Thanks much.
Sorry, dalinone, nothing to say on your dealer. But as to Fichtner, they've been a Forum dealer just about from the first and have sold Corvettes to lots of CF members. I'll assume they have a crack dept. for getting the cars serviced having never seen a bad post about them.
With that said, however, note that being a highly-respected Corvette dealer is not the one and only place you can take your car for service. Possibly (stress: possibly) closer to home is a dealer or indie (independent) shop that also have qualified and good technicians. For that kind of info, I'd go to your respective regional forums on CF and first search to see if there are any good service shops/dealers in your area, or post the same question there.
On line reviews are good, but feel that the best option is to talk to lots of folks in Corvette club, or a couple of club, and find out whom they trust to take their Corvette to.
In our club, of the folks who do not do all the work themselves, a majority of the rest of us take our cars to one dealership, and before we make each and every appointment, we insure "X technician" is not on vacation and that he alone will work on our car. This has worked perfectly in our club.
And I'll also thank "elegant" for his post because it is a good suggestion, as well.
However, I did a little more "mapping" MeanDean, and there may not be anything closer to you since you're about 89 miles from Laurel, MT. There doesn't appear to be much else that is closer to where you are. I think you'll be fine though.
