Default Crazy allocation question.....

Hello everyone! I'm sure this thread will get a few laughs, but I figure maybe there is a real long shot. Anyway I got really late to the C7 Ordering game and put down my deposit last week. I was initially told October/November (I know that was a huge lie), but from what I'm reading on other forums it looks like I may be waiting until next Summer for the 2nd allocation at the dealer where I left my deposit. This dealer is huge and got 69 for the first pass, but I'm #72 so unless someone cancels or refuses delivery I'm kind of beat. Does anyone know of any dealers who still have any spots left, or have a very large allocation? I'm thinking that if the line is longer the possibility of a cancelled order is higher? I look forward to any feedback, but please be nice......I'm new

As you said, i would guess all current allocations are likely to be spoken for... So you can:

A) Watch for cancellations to pop up , saw Rick Conti had a few available a couple weeks ago. Seemed like they went lightning fast.

B) stay in line, my dealer (Mike Furman, Criswell) told me about 15-20% of paid in-line deposits fall through regardless.

C) get in line for 2015 MY year, I think the big guys are already taking deposits!

D) Hunt down a suitcase edition

I think there is a decent possibility you could move up 3 spots. Hang in there and keeping checking back with your dealer. Good luck and welcome!

If you are interested in a local dealer who still has late allocations mine still has a few. PM me if you are interested and I can get you connected with them. They are about 60 miles east of Dallas.

A lot of folks on here order from out of state, no big deal at all. There are 500 "Premier Editions", (Known on the forum as a suitcase edition) at top dealers around the country. Intended as show room demo cars, they are also ultimately available for sale as well.

Dang, DFW_C7 The list filled up in 18 minutes? Or had it been a while since you checked?

It had been a few weeks since I checked - and the last time was before all of the reviews came out. My guess is most dealers had an influx of pre-orders after all the positive press came out.

If your dealer got 69 on the first consensus he should have gotten plenty more on the second consensus which seems to be the case with other dealers. Ask the dealer if the 69 is both first and second consensus combined. Third consensus shouldn't be to far away.

The way they stated it was 69 "for the year". So, are there any proposed guesses on when consensus 2 and 3 will be delivered?

My dealer in Shreveport (Bossier City) has allocations just 3 hours east of you and have been great to work with. PM me if you want more info.

Every dealer was given an "initial allocation estimate" that was for the first 6-9 months. I believe this is the 69 number being referenced.

Ha. Welcome to CF. The humor is pretty unique and we all had some fun with The Premier Edition reveal which featured matching luggage (not what we were expecting). Some of the comments were pretty classic. Stick around...you will have to navigate through the occasional Trolls and Troublemakers, but for the most part this is the best source for good insight and guidance regarding the C7.

Turbobndt, thanks! Looks like I'm "in the game". Now holding my breath for a delivery date before 2014. I'm new to Chevys and this forum, but there are a lot of awesome people here!
