I remember the introduction of the C6, specifically articles in the car magazines and other enthusiast publications. From what I recall, the reception was pretty much "lukewarm" at best . The "liked" the car for the most part, picked on all the things we now know are the car's weaknesses, but in the end seemed pretty bored by the "new" Corvette. The C7 in comparison, is receiving absolutely amazing reviews. Major car experts (even the Europeans) are raving about the new Stingray, using terms like "breathtaking" to describe everything from the looks to the handling, to the over the top performance of the machine.
For the record, I am the proud owner of a C6, so I am by no means bashing the best car I have ever owned, but from what I am reading, there is no doubt in my mind, there will be a C7 in my future. I am waiting for the 2015 for reasons of my own, but I will own a C7...

The first year reviews are always glowing. Thats just the way it is. When the car has been around for a year or two you can bet the magazines will start dumping on if for something. The competition never rests so if GM does not make year to year changes I am sure they will get some unwanted attention.
