Default Steering wheel

Is the surround plastic on the steering wheel black or gray/silver? Some pics look gray, kinda like the center console on the 05-07. If it's gray, I can see that this will be one of my mods to either paint black or body color

Pic that looks gray (it may just be the light/shadowing)

I've been wrong before, but it looks like brushed aluminum.

If you mean the lighter color on the front of the wheel that's aluminum to match the rest of the dash. If you mean the shroud on the steering column behind the wheel - I've got no clue but I'd guess black.

It's not actually plastic. It is brushed aluminum.

Notice in this picture how all of the backlighting appears to be blue or aqua in color when in fact it's white.

Ken, where ever you got these photos, are there more of that interior? If so please post the others. It appears to be Kalahari in 3LT and that's what I ordered in Torch Red. I'd love to see the others.
Thanks

Thanks for showing the fact that it's aluminum... That's awesome!

Still... Should be flat bottomed...

I guess they've gotta save something for the hi-po versions.

I heard from a little birdie that it will be available with the "carbon look" once the cars are out on the market.

Oh yeah, and that piece around the dash cluster also.

I'm pretty sure they are doing carbon, not the "carbon look". When they announced the C7 they were very clear that they weren't going to play any games with the materials. If it looks like carbon or aluminum, it IS carbon or aluminum

Maybe you are correct that they are waiting for the hi-po version but I am surprised that the wheel is not flat bottomed. Would like to here their reasons for this.

Not talking about just the factory...

Aftermarket will be available also.

Every price point should be covered as popular as this car is going to be.
