I would like to hear about the dreams from others that have ordered the C7.
Let me start it off....
I had a dream about 2 months ago when I picking up my C7 at the Corvette Museum.
It was night and there were no lights. It was too dark to inspect the car so I drove it straight through to my home in Texas. Once at my house, I got out and discovered there were no front or rear bumpers installed. They were wrapped in plastic stored behind the driver. Why I never noticed during my drive home is a mystery.....remember this was a dream.
I looked at the car from 30 feet away and was shocked to see it jacked up 2 feet in the air like a pick-up truck. Remember, this was a dream, so I have no clue why I didn't notice this at the Museum.
The auxillary smoke top was duct taped and zip tied to the carbon fiber roof. There were lots of other small parts still wrapped in plastic inside the car needing to be installed. I was so pissed, I took it to the local dealer who wouldn't help because I didn't buy it from them.
Then suddenly I woke up. It was 5 am in the morning so I got up and fixed a big pot of coffee and tried to calm down.
funny you started this thread...because just last night I had a dream I went to a Chevy dealership to buy a C7 Z. At the dealership, they also had a new Viper and decided to buy that instead. The sad part is, I am actually starting to think I will prefer the Viper... even over the C7 Z (I don't see GM making any significant body changes on the Z). I know the C7, especially the C7Z (when it is introduced) will be a better all around car, but the Viper is just drop dead gorgeous.
I had a dream that just my dog and I were the only living beings on earth except for the zombies that roamed at night.....and I had a C7. Oh wait that's Will Smith and he had a mustang in I Am Legend. In reality my dreams suck unless I eat chocolate before bed.

^ He actually drives Shelby Mustang GT500, a Ford Expedition and a Ford Escape Hybrid. You woke up too soon . . . .
Don't generally remember dreams but I did have a daydreaming fantasy. Jimmy Johnson (former UM and Cowboy's coach) will get the first C7 at my dealership, he's their spokesperson and gets a new Corvette every year as part of his deal. My salesman calls me to say that Coach Johnson will be out of town filming or whatever he does when NFL season starts and tells my salesman to let another costumer drive his Corvette until he returns to the Keys after the season. And of course the salesman picks me because he knows how much I love the new Corvette and what it would mean to me. So Coach Johnson, if you read this David knows how to get in touch with me. And THANKS Coach-you're the best!

There is a line of distinction between dreaming and delusional . . . . .
This is a real dream...I had a C7 on order and what they delivered was the instrument panel that I had to assemble. It had transparent plastic areas on it's top surfaces and seemed kind of cheap. What does this mean?

I, too, really like the Viper. For me, it is the most beautiful American car (well, second to the Ford GT, but that's no longer in production). I really do like the C7 as well. I feel that the Viper is just too much car for me at this time (both in terms of money and performance), so I am very excited about the C7 and will very likely end up owning one once the Comp Seats and the camera/data acquisition option are available.
I do think SRT did a much better job on the vents and the overall cohesiveness (both interior and exterior) than GM did with the C7. But there is something about the C7 that makes me really like it, even though it is somewhat disjointed. Maybe that slight bit of chaos in the design keeps it interesting.
This may be heresy on a Vette forum, but I'm also excited to see what Ford does with the next Mustang during this upcoming generation. With no Vette equivalent, can they make enough versions of the Stang to compete with both the Camaro and Vette?
May not matter as I could possibly already have a C7 by then.
