The C7 Verts are out on the streets around the GM proving grounds. Don't know if they are true mules, validation cars, test fleet or "sellables". All appear to have manufacture's plates.
My guess is Jan. I can't see them going into production before Christmas.
Dealers in half the country don't want them showing up until March at the earliest. As long as they have solid coupe orders to fill, there's no rush.
Don't look for production of Convertibles to start until early next year. I'm guessing you will see them start to ship around March 1st. Honestly you might as well wait until 2015 to get a convertible. You will be able to order one in May.

I think that's way too late. Mike Furman says orders will be placed in Dec. he should know.

That to me means Jan shipping.
I agree.
I've posted this before but probably bears repeating. I think the C7 convertible will mirror the C6 convertible intro. Here's my C6 convertible time line from 2004/2005:
I ordered my C6 convertible on 8/14/04, it sat at 1100 for months, in December, the status codes started moving, I got a TPW the 3rd week of December (if I'm remembering correctly) and I got my car 2/3/05
My dealer ordered my Z51 Convertible on the 8 August date indicated by Chevy as the order acceptance date and the order was on the Order Tracking Website on the 14th.
