He will help sales by setting the readers thoughts at $70K so they won't run off with sticker shock after adding up the 'necessary' options.

Of course I like the color they featured, Torch Red . I'd just like to see one like I ordered with Kalahari interior & black wheels.

Base car... blah. Z51... Yay.

That's what I take from the review. Given the Z51 is so cheap, just get Z51 and call it a day There is a reason GM will have almost all reviews done on Z51 cars.

Cool review. Every time I watch one of these it gets me even more excited about getting mine. I ordered the Z51, mag, 7spd, 3LT with a bunch more options. Don't want to regret passing something cool up.

So the paddle shifters are made of plastic ................. Who gives a rip ? I don't think metal ones would have helped the car perform any better. As for the interior, I'm thinking the writer needs to get a life and was trying too hard to find something to bitch about. He needs to join a certain forum member and love fest their P cars.

If you watch the video, I think his "issues" were with the "base" non-Z51 car. The video review was glowing about the car like all other reviews to date but made it clear Z51 was a much needed option.

You have to love the first sentence of this review which points to the fact that the C7 has over 100HP more than the 911 which is really sad for the status seeking Porsche crew. The article later refers to the C7 as a "Porsche Killer". Spot on there for sure. Absolutely true, the Porsche boys will just have to suck on that and deal with it. They do also have the option of paying 2 1/2-3 times as much to buy a Porsche than can hang with the new Corvette. It looks like the Porsche crew is falling even further behind in the performance world. They are soon to be delivered another major beat down when the next Z06 level C7 arrives. It will be very entertaining to see what the Porsche lovers do to deny this next blockbuster, Porsche killer.

The auto press referring to the C7 as a "Porsche Killer" has got to give the Posche die hards a terminal wedgy!

He doesn't get it!! Porsche buyers are happy to shell out 100k+. They are a different kind of car buyer than Vette buyers.

A few years ago you could get a loaded 911S for under 100k, now it's 130K or more, I know a couple of 911 owners who are taking a serious look a the C7 Z51.

If they're happy to spend $100k+ then they'd be better off getting a ZR1 or Viper

I did watch it. He gripes because the paddles are plastic. Z51 or not. Same song and dance about the interior. I will bet that if GM had priced the car in the same range as Jag or or any number of euro cars he'd have whined about the price.
