C7 stripes?

C7 stripes?
Is it just me or is GM doing everything in their power to increase the appeal of the new Stingray? I've yet to see one in person, but, from all the pictures on the internet and in magazines, I think it's clear that the interior is beautiful. The exterior looks like a cross between a Ferrari 599 and a Nissan GT-R; neither of which strikes me as a terribly pleasing design.
Maybe my opinion will change this weekend when I get to see one in person. Any other thoughts from those who've seen one, sat in one, etc?

Guys, I'm not talking about Grand Sport hash marks or the 427 heritage stripe. I had a Grand Sport with the hash marks and have a 427 with the heritage stripe. I love both and they make a beautiful car looking even more aggressive.
I'm talking about full length racing stripes. I just don't get it and I don't think there is anything that will help the looks of the C7 improve. Just my opinion...

Can someone explain what the appeal of the C7 has to do with C6 stripes? I clicked on the thread thinking it had something to do with stripes, but I guess it is really about what people think of the C7 stylng? Yet again.

I like the stripes, especially the metallic ones. The white car with the metallic red stripes looks really nice. They were smoking crack with the silver / orange / red one though.
I do think they could have done a much better job at the shape of them, or offer a single stripe option that fits better.
I tend to like stripes though. Funny enough, I have yet to own a car with stripes even though I like them.

I really don't care what some one whom I've never met thinks about how I want my car personally. The more options the better.
