Default Advanced Theft Deterrent System

Anybody hazard a guess as to just what this is and does? It comes available in 2 LT trim.

And what if any is the difference compared to the LT 1 trim?

Here is the limited description of both in the online Order Guide:

Theft-deterrent system, vehicle, push button start, immobilizer and audible visual alarm (listed as standard on all trim levels)
Theft-deterrent system, body security content and unauthorized entry electrical (listed as included in 2LT and 3LT)

Zymurgy, thanks for the knowledge.

You probably know what's coming next.

What is body security content and unauthorized entry electrical?

I'll hazard a guess that the body security etc. is an added shock sensor. GM has these in their Denali level trucks when they first came out. They went away a few years ago.

I would think a proximity sensor. Like a motion sensor for inside. I would think that makes sense if the top were off of it. But who knows for sure.

My interpretation:

Body security content: alarm if any of the locked compartments/consoles are opened.

Unauthorized entry: the doors.

too bad it doesn't have a proximity sensor and motion detector like the Viper in my '03 vert, with the top down if anyone puts their hand inside without even touching anything it warns then alarms, it's also a two way which I love. Chances are I will be ditching the factory junk and going for another Viper.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate the help.

I just am not familiar with the language/terminology of this stuff.

Tadge mentioned at the NCM Bash, that the convertible has a sensor detecting motion, so that if someone made a movement inside the convertible when the top was down, it would go off.
