Not sure what consensus (I think #2) I was in because I came in late in the game. Rick Conti had a last minute opening in July because some of constraints on orders. He posted a message on the forum and I was lucky enough to get one of the spots. The order had to be finalized that day.
I was originally told my car would be produced late early September, so I was happily shocked when I was told 2 weeks ago my car hit 3400 (first one on Ricks list).
I am paying over $600/month to extend a lease on a car I am not that thrilled about while waiting for my Stingray, so getting the car early is awesome. I had spot with another dealer from April, but he was not expecting to be able to place an order until November. The other dealer (Mark Furman from the forum
) was very cool about the situation and very professional.
A big thanks to Rick Conti and Corvette Forum for getting my early spot
. Without the forum and the great dealers on here, I would probably be paying $5-10K over sticker here in California.

I was told don't look for any cars to be shipped until the end of Sepetember. All cars will be shipped with a special car cover that is to be given to the customer. The cover is washable. Also since the cars will be covered they are going to ship cars west of the Mississippi river on trains.
