First year production bugs
Is anyone worried about the c7 first year production bugs? I know the c7 have gone through the 1 million miles testing but even my super reliable first year 2003 Honda pilot had its share of problems.

Buying a first year anything, it's reasonable to expect some teething problems. It wouldn't stop me from buying one though, that's what warranties are for.

Not every C7 is going to have the "first year blues". It's a hit or miss situation. The problem is that no one knows if they are the one that is going to be hit by the "first year blues" and not missed.
Many a dream has been ruined by the "first year blues", and many a dream has been lived by those not hit by the "first year blues".

I am not so much worried about production bugs as I am worried that they will make some big changes in the second year. That A6 will be history and some other problematic issues that surface in 2014 will get a renewed focus for the 2015 model.

It will be worth it to see purists frown as I drive by.

If history repeats itself that's possible. The C6 got a new stronger rear differential, steering wheel, and automatic transmission to name a few for year two.

No: Square tail lights are more dependable than round. No bulbs to burn out!

all first year models have issues. If it's serious enough, they'll do a TSB/recall, but usually it's little stuff that won't matter much.

You can quote me on this: Life it short, have fun when you can.
I'll be driving my loaded Laguna Blue 7-speed manual out in the rural roads west of Austin Texas in the Hill Country while the rest of you are concerned about a piece of window trim being .030" out of alignment.
Also, an important part my enjoyment of the C7 will be learning about all the new technology and how it ticks. If something needs fixing, I'll fix it or take it to the deailer under warranty. Everything can be fixed.
This is my 4th Corvette. My first was a wrecked 1971 Covette Convertible that took 6 years to restore and to get back on the road. I had a 1996 Coupe with the LT4 that had zero issues.
My 2005 was a very low VIN# and the only thing that needed fixing by the dealer was the roof separation recall. All that stuff about transmission, harmonic balancer, and the weak differential never affected my car even with the mods that boosted HP to 440+rwhp.
Will all C7 be 100% perfect? Absolutely not. Will there be more issues in the 2014 than the 2015? Maybe. Do I want to wait a year before getting one? No.
I am sure the C7 will be more than good enough.
Remember....Have fun now because when you die, you will be dead a long time.

It all depends on what is important to you. I couldn't stand the "Doughboy" steering wheel and A4 transmission on the 2005, so we waited until 2006 and were glad we did. Others wouldn't care.

Safety Car
Hmmmm........
Another thread regarding this subject got closed today b/c too many members can't deal with the fact that the C7 and every other car ever built will have some problems in its first year of production.
Tot the OP's post, I for one would stay away but I'm not buying one until they straighten out the mess!!
