I'm going to be in Bowling Green in November and when I try to make a tour reservation I get a "no availibility on that day" message no matter which tour or day. So, my question is if the factory is still closed for C7 re-tooling. Anyone know? I get no answer when I try calling the number I get off the internet.
Thanks

Factory tours closed until at least September 30th. Like many, you are just going to have to check the web site often 'till tours open up. Chances are you are not going to have a problem getting a tour in November.

I asked this question to Tom Hill last week when I was in Carlisle, and he answered that the factory is buzzing with activity to get the cars qaulity control and assembly systems up to speed. They do not need outside guests runnign around the plant during this start up process.
He did say that the tours would begin by October 1st.

As noted, the plant has been closed to the public since last September. On September 30th, tours involving the National Corvette Museum Buyer's tour, the Buyer's photo album and R8C Museum delivery will resume. No date has been set for public tours to resume.
There is a lot going on at the plant and they are trying to minimize distractions.

I'm not interested in doing a Corvette cross-country trip in the winter and I sure won't go to Bowling Green in anything other than my Corvette. At least by next spring we will also know what the next model of C7 we will be looking for.
