Story: Back in 2000 I purchased one of the first PT Cruiser. The first week I was driving my new red PT and came to an intersection at a traffic light and stopped for the red light.
Pulling up next to me was a nice looking Corvette and when I looked over the driver of putting on a pair of driving gloves. Impressive I thought.
As he was putting the gloves on -- I held up both my hands to him with No Gloves. He smiled back and laughed. I did the same.
The light went green and we both just drove off.
Question -- now that I have ordered my new 2014 Corvette (red/red), I guess I must think about some new driving gloves . . .
Just what do I need to be thinking here?
Kind? Quality? Color? Etc . . . I am sure some of you have opinions.

VERY RARE for Corvette drivers on the street. VERY RARE.
He had NO goggles, no scarf, no pipe . . . and as I remember, they were tight fitting gloves. Probably hand stitched and high quality leather.
OK, serious answer. I have a few customers that use them, but very few. If they know they are going out for some "spirited" driving or maybe for a track day. However, for out on the streets it's not seen much since eighties...
Gee, I thought maybe that is what set Vett drivers apart. This guy, back in 2000, looked very serious as he was putting on his gloves. Really, I thought it was a nice touch . . .
And you know, he probably washed his hands prior to getting in his car.

Reason: added "s"
Are driving gloves supposed to help those who can't seem to hang on to the wheel? I didn't know this was an issue? Come January and February in the midwest somewhere, I could see it.
