I've been at 3400 for two weeks as well, so assume something will happen soon. We'll be leaving tomorrow for two weeks in France/Italy (30th anniversary) and when we return I expect to have a VIN assigned. The good news is it will not likely arrive while we're away, so the timing should be good!

Where are you going in Italy ? My wife and I went to the Amalfi coast of Italy last year and loved it. Positano and Sorrento were great places to visit and the views were out of this world . People were great and the food was outstanding .

I love Italy. Never had a meal that wasn't exceptional and the house wine is ALWAYS excellent!
If you like art, don't miss Florence. The Uffizi Museum there is a MUST see, as is David, the original of which is located in the Accademia di Belle Arti. There is a replica outdoors near the Uffizi, but you have to see the original. I also recommend the Pitti Palace, the ancestral home of the de Medici family, who were the most powerful and wealthy family in Italy and who commissioned incredible art works by Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and so many other Renaissance artists.
Oh, and to stay on topic, I hope you have a C7 on the way to you upon your return.
We're staying in Rome and Florence and have several tours booked including a full day in the Tuscany region to check out (taste) some of the wines. Also have reservations for dinner in the Eiffel Tower and advance tickets to see David. We'll be in Italy the weekend of the F1 race in Monza, but the logistics of making that side trip happen doesn't seem to work. Plus it's not supposed to be a 'car' trip...I've been advised.
The C7 arriving shortly after we return would be perfect, and based on what I'm seeing that could be the case. Good luck to the rest of you getting yours as well-I hope it's worth the wait!
Ummm.... How often do you get to Italy the same week F1 is there? Ask yourself that and then ask her. She should understand. Mine does and we are on our 20th.

We love Florence and Rome but if there's time... You really should try to visit the French Riviera ... See Nice And Cannes, Monte Carlo... Village of Ez... What a trip! Have a great 30th and congrats!
Great timing, way to soak up some time while waiting for production. The gelato at the restaurant in the square next to the church in Florence is da bomb.
Be glad you're car is not built yet. Those out on the yard are exposed to all the elements and the HOT sun, day in and day out. If they stack the cars back to front, your car might leave the yard earlier than those low vin # cars. And if a mechanical is found, all those yard cars will have to be fixed too.
Yes, there is another thread concerning the cars left out in the elements and wondering if they will be cleaned prior to installation of the car covers for the trip to dealers? Also bird poop and it's etching characteristics along with other nearby pollutants would be something to think about as well. Not like it wouldn't happen under your personal ownership, but you would likely clean things off in a timely manner-not baking in the sun for several weeks. I guess we'll just have to see..gotta go and head to the airport. Be back in touch on the 17th.
I would think that once the initial quality hold is past, cars will start to move to customers and many of us who placed orders late (July in my case) will actually get our cars not too long after those who ordered much earlier.
Remember, Chevrolet said they would announce when customer cars start shipping.

Get yourself a fiat 500 and you will love a car trip along the Almafi coast . Trust me you will see views that are to die for. We or should I say I loved every moment of having driven the coast.

I wish to heck that some of you early folks would receive you cars.
That way, a guy like me, with a number of 1100 could get up and busy.
I ordered 1 months ago (early Aug) and still at 1100 with 4 other coups ahead of me at the dealer. So far, no one has moved -- because you folks are still there.
