Default C7 Order Lead Time

I went to my local dealer today to start the order process and he informed me I was looking at about 6 months for delivery. I'm sure this was a guess on his part but does this sound accurate?

Depends whether that dealer is one of the 900 that gets C7's this year and then how many they get, spread out over 9 months, minus the orders they already have. Did they give you any of that info?

depends on allocation and who you're ordering from.

dealers got their 6 month allocation back in may... thats how many c7 theyll see in the next 6 months.. if your dealer filled that.. then soonest is spring delivery.... if he overfilled past that then longer.

most dealers have their allocation full, the big 3, kerbeck/macmulkin/coughlin are easy to work with and have largest allocations... kerbeck is booked because everyone knows they have #1 allocation.

call tommy jr @ macmulkin and say riley referred you.. you'll get a discount on the car and i guarantee you'll get it before 6 months as he can fit you in on his 6 month allocation versus after that.

also u can order from macmulkin, and take delivery at your local dealer (local will charge a fee 300-500 usually) but with discount on car, should even out....

if you have USAA u can add $750 to discount,
there is a 1k additional but expires 9/30 and you wont get car by then...

How do you get the USAA discount? Through their buying service, credit card or have their insurance. I use all of these.

you are a member of USAA... which means you were enlisted or blood related parent was enlisted and a member and passed the membership to you.

if you are a member, regardless of what services used... you bring proof of membership (they have a proof sheet can print out online) and dealer deducts 750 from price thru GM..

the 1k chevy deduction cannot be combined with the 750 but can be used instead but expires 9.30..

Thanks for USAA info. I have been a member for over 45 years. That makes me old, and I remember Viet Nam.

The last I heard, Les Stanford Chevrolet in Dearborn, Michigan has allocations available. They sell around 200 Corvettes yearly and I think that ranks them in the top 5-6 Corvette dealerships in the country.

I would guess that if you placed an order today with a dealership that has allocations, your car may get delivered in Dec/Jan???

yeah, anyone in the top 10 allocations should be a safe bet.. i just personally enjoyed the attention i get from macmulkin, tommy jr runs the entire corvette side of things and only him..

plus you get a discount and no fee's... no doc fees, processing fees, dealer fees... it's very straight forward.

then add on your other discounts and you're ahead of the majority of buyers as far as "deal"

those numbers are INCORRECT for 2013 year sales, we were #3, but what does it matter, we are excited and proud to have the opportunities.....

Thank-you for the support.....as the internet becomes more of a factor you see less and less loyalty.,....so your opportunities are appreciated - we will do all we can to assist and makes things informed and easy for you!

Rick thanks for the heads up but unfortunately I do want the exposed carbon fiber roof option.
