Carbon Roof
What is the deal with the carbon roof ?
I an ordering my car without one to speed up the process - so when will be the soonest i would be able to get one, and im assuming they can be ordered with the body color side stripes.
Does anyone have dates yet ?

Just found out today that my C7 order (coupe) has to be changed to another roof option as I am told by my dealer that the clear carbon roof is not available and they have no idea when if ever that it will be. And no one can tell me if I accept the car with the body color roof (Laguna Blue) if there is an option to swap it out to the carbon roof when they are available. And if I want to order the roof later as an accessory if it will be the same price or much more. This is really frustrating because I ordered the carbon flash option for mirrors and spoiler and think it will look stupid without the roof matching. Anybody else having this roadblock in placing there order?

I would gladly wait till mid October to get what I want if someone at GM would be able to tell me an estimated delay in filling the orders, I would be really pissed to accept my car with the body color roof only to find out that if I had waited a few weeks I could have gotten the carbon roof!

I doubt that Chevy will make any special deals about getting a display-quality carbon fiber roof after you take delivery. It's a supplier issue obviously.They either can't get it right or can't make enough fast enough.
I am switching to the dual package with body color and clear roofs. If I decide I need the CF roof I will pay thru the nose and have my body shop guy paint the edge to perfection.

I would wait rather than accepting something as significant as a roof that I didn't like. It will be available at some point and there is zero doubt about that. Whether it is a month, two or three is the question. Still worth the wait if it is something you want IMO.
