NEW TV SERIES "Corvette Nation" debuts tonight!
A primetime series all about Corvettes starts airing tonight on the Velocity HD channel.
It's been mentioned here already, on the C6 forum -- but I can tell just by the logo that this show is C7 centric So I thought it would be smart to post a note here about the show.

From CorvetteBlogger:
A new original TV series called “Corvette Nation” will be making its debut Friday night at 7pm ET on Discovery’s Velocity channel. The 13-episode series dedicated to America’s favorite sports car will feature all sorts of events, people and of course the car that we love so much.
The first episode was shot during the Bloomington Gold Corvette show this past June so if you were there, make sure you tune in.
Corvette Nation is hosted by Bill Stephens who you will recognize from Mecum’s live television auction coverage which also airs on Velocity. Bill is joined on the show with his co-host Maria Prekeges.
The presenting sponsor for Corvette Nation is Mid America Motorworks. The Corvette Nation crew will be filming at the 20th Anniversary of Corvette FunFest at Mid America’s campus in Effingham, IL next weekend.
“The Corvette is such a staple of the car culture. We’re looking forward to working with the team at Corvette Nation to give this icon the recognition it deserves,” said Mid America’s founder and Chief Cheerleader Mike Yager.
While the Corvette Nation was filming at Corvettes at Carlisle last month, we learned that our friend Michael Brown, filmmaker and producer of The Quest documentary will also be presenting some of his “Corvette Collections” vignettes that have become very popular on YouTube.
Here’s Corvette Nation’s opening title sequence which will give you an idea of what to expect:

Thanks for the post. I just did a search on Comcast and two shows are listed. I set both of them to record.

Sports on the DVR is awesome too. Start a game about an hour late and blow through commercials and halftime enough to catch up to live action by the 4th = win.

You think time slots don't matter? Try to find this show on Velocity's home page.

Tell me when did you first hear about this show? Today? Here? I watch a fair amount of Velocity and this show hasn't had one commercial that I've seen...not one. They've been advertising a number of new shows and this ain't one of 'em.
Now, if they actually advertise the show and make it a big thing on the internet, it might last a while but I give this show a very tiny chance to last very long. It's too specialized a show.
It won't last long if only CF members with DVRs watch it.

DITTO! Looking forward to it.
I wonder if this is the same show I read about not too long ago in Vette magazine. The show described was about Corvettes, the lifestyle/hobby, etc. and was to be 13 episodes. That show was to air on the now defunct "Speed Channel"( #607 on Direct TV.)

Here's a 7-minute segment on Bloomington Gold from tonight's show. Obviously don't watch this here if it will ruin your enjoyment of watching later on the big screen. But can it really be thought of as "Spoilers"??
Just a preview of the actual content to see if it's what you want:

The background music makes me want to fall asleep. Although I respect that they are making this show, it's diffidently something meant for older corvette enthusiasts. I was hoping this would be more of a "Top Gear" for corvette junkies... Show needs MUCH more up to date direction.

Does anybody have DIRECTV? If so, what channel is it?
