I'm posting this from the World Financial Center in downtown manhattan right now and the man who attended to me says delivery has been pushed back from Sept to Oct 15th because they found some issues. He refused to provide more details...
They would have to stop building because they couldn't hold that many cars on the lot.
Dave
They are probably already at 1100 cars. If there were issues I bet they would be working 24/7 to fix the issues so a)they don't stop production b)so they can collect their $70,000,000 in money!
If I remember right, the C-6 was delayed for a while and certain cars had to be sent to Roush Performance for repair, but I don't remember the problem...anyone?
Would it be too much to ask if someone from Chevrolet would make a formal statement about the delay, if there will be one? I doubt any announcement would make a dent in C7 sales. A little clarity would ease the anxiety on this and other forums. But then again, does GM owe anyone an explanation?

Yes and no. There was no delay but around the second month of production there was a bad batch of steering columns. There was a bolt that was bending or breaking under stress.
There was no room at the factory to do that type of repair so they were shipped to MI to have it repaired. It was a only a few hundred cars. Some made it to the dealers and we had to do the fix here.

That's the point, there is no delay. Anxious buyers do not equal a delay. GM said they will ship to the showrooms late third quarter/end of summer. That's from the January press release! They have another week till the end of summer which is probably right about the time they will be shipping.

Why would they? They haven't missed their targeted ship date yet nor or there any indications that they will except for speculation that was not generated by them.

Someone please tell me this isn't so
Who cares where you are when you post? Does not impress and/ or make what you write to be true because your someplace in Manhattan. If anything, makes it more ridiculous.
I am currently writing this from the space shuttle as we ready it's next launch into space. I just got a radio alert from Houston. It said that broccoli crops on the central coast of CA are expected to be down 15% this year.

First: It isn't so.
Second: Why was it necessary for someone to attend to you? Hearing those voices again?
