GM was good enough to bring a silver LT3 at a local dealer to Ottawa, Canada yesterday.
Very impressive but a few very minor things:
Steering wheel tilt is electric instead of mechanical. I use this feature a lot in all my cars. I like the mechanical lever because it is quick so it is easy and fast to get out. The electric version is a lot slower. You have to sit and listen to it whirl before you get out.
I can barely get my toe under the air dam at the front. Although it is rubber, it sure is low.
What is that icon on the grab handle, facing the passenger. It is tiny, looks like a computer mouse. Whatever it is, it is near useless.
I find the headrest visually plain and boring. This car did not have the vette logo on the headrest.
The cupholder cover, in the open position, looks like it can trip a cup when used by the passenger. Maybe should open, then slide down out of the way.
Why do the seats move so far forwards. I kept moving it forward in the passenger seat and if I kept going, I think I could have compacted myself right into the glove box. Same with the seat back angle. Seems to go past 90 degrees forwards.
Despite some previous postings about 2 months ago, reclining is not an option, whether the seat is moved forwards or not. S/O is not going to like that on long hauls in the passenger seat. But to be fair, this is true for all vettes.
Hood is very light, can hold it up with one finger.
This car had what appears to be surface rust on the rear face of the mufflers as shown in previous posts. But you need to get down on your knees at the back to even see it. Also, it may not even be rust, it could be a result of some manufacturing process.
Quarter panel vent grill work can be pushed down with your finger to a point that looks like it could be broken. This is not the vanes themselves, but the grill under the vanes. Rest of the grills, front and back, are very stiff and speak quality.
There have been a number of comments about what appears to be rust on the back of the mufflers on the test fleet cars. Hopefully, this will not be an issue.

Electric steering wheel tilt. I keep hearing about things that I didn't know that help explain why it's over the weight target that I expected. Is that only on the 3LT?
Well all I can say is DON'T BUY ONE! Keep the model you own now ( I will bet I can guess) and go to that part of the forum that pertains to your car. No one at bowling green can build anything that will please you. Maybe no car company can...
At least you found out that carbon fibre hoods are light. So that is a complaint?
Think you misread him. He said he was very impressed but was commenting on a few minor things.
The car is very impressive in real life. In pictures you miss the 3D effect of all the crease lines. The car was in a show room, I sat in a chair off to the side and just studied all the crease lines. They are amazing.
I also notices how wide the door is. In real life, the hood is short and the door plus back of the car is real long. Makes it look really swooping. You just don't get that impression from pix.
There really isn't anything I disliked about it. Even the rear end. The tail lights have grown on me to the point that I like them.
OK, one complaint. the Corvette script at the back. It is barely legible when you are standing over it, looking down and it makes that back end busier. Most pix from the back are low angle so the script is legible.
This car is a proto. It looked like there were a few plastic pieces missing on it, particularily one side of left/right hand pieces. There were holes where there should have been pieces. Also, the passenger A piller inside cover was loose. Some of the body panels didn't quite line up. But again is was a proto and I just ignored all of this. The cars in the BG backlot most likely have all this fixed.
I was happy that GM took the effort to bring this car up.
BTW, it was silver with a grey 3LT interior, no suede. Upgraded exhaust, painted wheels with the extra spokes, magnetic ride, 7M. base. not Z51

One other thing, there is a compartment between the inside rear view mirror and the windshield. There is no access to it but there is a square opening pointing towards the front. I stuck my fingers through it and felt some wires. Could this be for the optional camera?

That is interesting. Raises all sorts of possibilities. Anyone else noticed this?

possible future option for collision mitigation/Front collision warning/night vision

Ya, could be, it was quite large. Way too large for just a camera. It felt mostly empty except for some loose wire. You can't really see it from the outside looking in. Surprisingly, the hole didn't have any cover on it. Since the car was a proto, they may have had something there but took it out.
If you look behind the mirror you can see a large bump in the interior covering which is what attracted my curiousity and I started to feel around expecting maybe a lense or some sensor. I was surprised when my fingers dropped in a hole.
