What is the chance?
With some new Cadillacs sporting a twin turbo V6 with direct injection making well over 400 horse power, what is the chance that a more radical version of that engine making into your C7. I am betting you see one in the GS or other high performance versions of the C7 that we will see in the coming years. We know that GM is going to have to do something to boost HP for its Ferrari beaters while maintaining mileage targets. I am thinking 600 hp would be in easy reach with a free breathing, boosted and direct injected 3.?L V6. Anyone taking the bet???

my guess is that over the life span of the C7 we will have a V6TT and V8TT like most other brands are doing.
Perhaps the V8 will remain as the pure sporty option as part of the "track pack" edition.

I hope you are wrong. I would rather have a normally aspirated engine for the performance models of the C7. Turbos and S/C put huge strain on engine components. I may be wrong but since the Camaro Z28 has the Z06 LS7 still kicking around there is a chance a low volume car like the C7 Z06 could get some variation of that engine.

Well as far as a Z28 version of the C7..its got the tail lights already! Bad joke...since the new Camaro has dropped its "Corvette taillights" and sport the corporate Volt style....

What are the mpg numbers for the caddy engine? I personally do not want to see a top heavy ohc engine in the vette. Let's get all the na power we can before going to boosted engines. I drove a twin turbo bmw the other day and they have noticeable lag and not that great fuel mileage.
