Default Quality Hold

Does anyone know how long a C7 sits in Quality Hold til it is released.
Mine was finished on 9/13 and customer assistance says it is still in Quality Hold.

I do not know the real answer to your question but I think there is not a set time frame for QC. Can you give me the number for customer assistance?

Thanks.

I think it's a generic response that they give. GM probably told the reps to say that instead of giving out false information.

Reason I say that? Mine is VIN 378 produced two weeks ago and they said the same thing to me this morning. They said check back in a week.

Mine was built Monday(9/16), and it's being held for QC also as of this morning. Wish I knew when it would be released!

I was told once the assembly line was up and running full tilt, the normal QC hold was 2 weeks.

Quality hold means just that. A quality hold that lasts more than 3 days is not normal. They are on hold to the shipper because of a quality issue. This is why you should never buy a first year Corvette.

That just isn't true! Don't just say things just to say things.
This car will car will be delivered in excellent condition. This is very normal for a first run of a first year model.

Chevy said from the very beginning, delivery will be in 3rd qtr of this year. Everything is still on schedule.

This first year Corvette will be everything it is supposed to be.

Your referenced quality issue is Chevy wanting to make sure every thing is first rate on the first delivery's. Unless you have been to the plant and observed first hand what the perceived problem is and can elaborate on it first hand.

I have been at 3800 for two weeks. Made the mistake of calling Cust Assist. Said my car was not made but could give me a serial number. Last three digits are 751. It's been made they are just clueless. Where its located is another issue.
