I was one of the first orders to hit Status Code 4300 early in the week (VIN 0106), confirmed by my dealer as well as GMer. I decided this morning to call GM Customer Assistance hoping to find out if we have an estimated delivery date yet, only to be told that supposedly the car is "still held-up at the plant for QC". I am not sure what to make of this latest info. Is anyone else running into the same information (or misinformation)?

I sent an email to the faq@chevrolet.com yesterday, heard nothing. Went on chat got customer service from someone in India. Wanted Name Rank and SSN. I don't think the site will ever return. I got flamed yesterday with my comments and conjecture, I apologized but after the dialog I just had, if you think the web site had flaws, what we are left with now is worse..
They're only as good as the information given to them. I've been getting conflicting info since my order was accepted a couple months ago. It's frustrating, but not much can be done about it.
I still think my dealer has the best info, but I only try to bug him once a week.

I wouldn't worry about it. I bleive that 4300 means it is now in possesion of the shipper. Exactly what their process is, not sure. But I would guess you'll be driving your car by the next weekend at the latest. Not to say they shouldn't have already had a plan for this, but I bet Cust Serv. has their hands full with these inquiries right now.

The only info I've gotten that seems to have been reliable is from my dealer and GM'er. I gave up on the chat line and CS phone calls early last week. Unfortunately it's not easy to get info from my dealer and as I also try not to bug him, it kind of leaves me in a void.
I've chilled and now am just waiting until what I expect will be a mid October delivery. (Although that seems questionable too with no TPW and comments about two weeks in a QC hold for every car produced.)
As for "not much can be done about it," I agree. But that shouldn't prevent you from providing your dealer and GM with a written, civilized after action report of your ordering and delivery experience. They're not going to change/fix it if they don't know what's broken.
We are very happy to report that we have begun shipping your 2014 Corvette Stingray! We know that you are very anxious for its arrival and we want to do everything we can to provide you with the most up to date information. We took note that using the Chevrolet Tracker on Chevy.com was not providing the best information. At this time we are no longer using that system and encourage you to contact faq@chevrolet.com , your dealer or our Customer Care Team. If you would like more information on how to contact any one of these sources, please let us know.
You can PM me anytime! Marissa and I are here to help. If my mailbox gets full please be patient, we will clear it as soon as possible. Thanks,

Kelly - I already sent you a PM earlier today, as well as sent an email to faq, but have not heard back. It's not a big deal; It's just that I was getting conflicting information and was curious to know why...

zhopper my GUESS is that since 4300 is intermediate delivery, that would mean you car has been delivered to the Nashville facility for further quality inspection. I don't have any first hand knowledge of this, but it is very similar to what happened on the recent Silverado launch.
Who are these guys in Nashville ? Did GM just rent a big Butler building to perform a bunch of "out-of-sequence" work or retrofits using a special tiger team ?
Does anyone know which VIN #'s this covers ? Sounds like they weren't happy with the way something went together on initial assembly so they declared a "mulligan" and need to do a "re-do.". I'm not sure I really want to know - this is too much like watching sausage being made !!

Thanks for the input GM'er. I was wondering the same thing.
