Looks like several of us have gone from 4B00 "Bayed" to 4D00, "On hold at plant"

Anyone know why, or is this normal?

I'm in the same boat 4D00 / Vin XX...XX1209. Still in BG as far as I know. What is the range of VINs in the QC group - 1 through 600 ??

I'm thinking 1-360ish?

I'm at 378 and was told by Chat that I have passed QC this AM and waiting on transport. Different from what they told me last week which was I'm waiting on QC.
It could mean a few things,
1 - I have truly passed and waiting for a truck to come to Northern Virginia.
2 - They have no clue and just wanted to get my hopes up.
3 - I'm on the way to Nashville to get further "QC"

Isn't an enhanced/additional Quality check on an early version of a generation change a good thing?

Absolutely! But many including myself don't think it's just a QC Check. Some of those early cars were built about a month ago and shipped to Nashville TN for "QC" yet C7's are getting built and on a truck the next day.

What do you suspect it is, or can you say?

Coughlin will be happy to send a driver to get you. I just live five minutes from the airport and just trying to help out corvette folks. I will be happy to pick you up if I'm home. We are leaving Thursday and going to Bowling Green for their car show at the plant on Saturday. We are remaining in BG to watch the build out of my 2014 Stingray. After leaving BG on Oct 4th we are going to Hilton Head. Guessing I will be home around the 14th. Sooooo if you come into Columbus while we are gone Coughlin will pick you up. For your sake I hope you car gets in before I return back home.
