Are the rocks really that big people are living under? This talk of demand is silly, desire might be a better word. The 7 will be coming off the line in droves so unless you have to be first on the block paying over MSRP or even MSRP for that matter is due to impatience.

I know that is why I would just wait unless I got what I wanted. I notice already there are some car available so I know by January there will be plenty to go around.
Plus this was an LT2 non Z51 and I want the Z51 LT2
There is at least one local dealer who is not charging over MSRP with a smaller allocation. It all depends on who you talk to - go ask around who had the best reputation when selling C5s/C6s and that's the guys you want to talk to about a C7. They are also not the ones advertising everywhere as they have a loyal group of customers already
In 05 New Z's were going at the"Adjusted Fair Market" Upcharge of $100K
Are you saying 2006 Z06's were selling for $100K OVER MSRP? They were in short supply initially, and my local dealer was asking $10K OVER MSRP. But that same dealer also was asking $10K over MSRP when the 1997 C5's came out. I just called another dealer in Tulsa and purchased one(C5) for $1K UNDER MSRP, the next week. Saved $11K and it didn't cost me a cent as I called the Tulsa dealer on his dime.
Locally, I have one small dealer locally asking $10K OVER MSRP for his two coupes and one convertible allocation, and I also have a larger dealer(top 50 in sales) locally that has sold his coupe and convertible allocations for $1K UNDER MSRP. Dealers are 35 miles apart. Who, in their right mind, would not travel 35 miles to purchase a car for a savings of $11K. Might be an indication of why the small dealer has not sold any of his allocations for $10K OVER MSRP.
I predict there will be numerous under msrp deals in the next couple of years but I believe price increases within the next 6 months will negate any savings. The z51 option would easily bring 5k not the 2800 it is priced at.

I don't think they will raise the price for the model year. They want the sales to have momentum and if they start raising it may lose customers. I can see the 2015 prices going up slightly.
Supply and demand. Those that want it first will pay for the privilige. This has never changed. Give it a year and it will much easier to deal for a C7.
Yeah, Sadly I may have to sit down and wait as well. Dunno why I thought dealers would have random cars to sit in and try already lol
