WOW!!! that's all I can say! just saw the new stingray at Jon Hall Chevrolet in Daytona Beach Florida - black on black, 3LT, automatic. I've got to tell ya, they nailed that design - pics look good, but damn, the real thing looks 10X better than any pic i've seen so far...

154% - No picture does this car justice - It must be seen in person.

Do you know how long this will be there? - I'm guessing it already has an owner but I'm driving up to Flagler Beach from Orlando tomorrow late afternoon and would like to see it before it gets picked up. Thx
I think the reason C7s look so much better in person than in pics, is the depth to the body lines. Pics are 2D and especially the rear end needs to be seen in 3D to be appreciated.
Even those (at first in pics) hideous looking taillights look phantastic on the car, due to the depth they have.
Those dep pockets in the actual lights themselves make it almost look as if the leds were hovering in mid air I guess... Hard to explain, but it all makes perfect sense when seen IRL.
I think the darker colors (i.e. black, CG) really set the car off. Really helps blend things in especially the back of the car where it transitions from body color to the diffuser area.
The white is the exception to this though; they look really sharp in white with the black accents.
I guess its a matter of taste, because i didn't like the rear on pics. But i waited till to see the car in person before make a jugdement. Then there was like every colors and trim at Carlisle. No the rear doesn't look good even in person! The front isn't bad although like the viper 2014 i liked more the generation before. I think the vette lost is own personnality! Now its a blend of Ferrari, GT-R and camaro but nothing from corvette expect the badges! Actually the only thing really improve is the seat and ICE!! Of course everyone who actually never sat in one will say how better it is from the C6!
narrow body look like... well very narrow, because of the stance and higher general feeling of the car. There was one sitting next to a C6 same colors and its surprising how bigger it look!

the salesman, FWIW, told me that it was sold, but the buyer backed out. if you're going to flagler, it wouldn't be much out of your way to swing by (i'm guessing 15-20 minutes from the I95/I4 interchange) - It just might be there in the showroom. Jon Hall chevy is on north nova road, about .5 miles north of international speedway blvd.
I think all modern Corvettes look better in person than they do in photographs. I remember seeing the early press photos of the C5 and thinking it looked horrible until I actually saw them driving on the road. People are going to fall in love with the C7 once they start seeing them cruising around more frequently

TIMMAAAYYY ! You're entitled to your opinion although OP and many others do not share same. I personally agree with the OP, enough so that I sold a perfect '08 Z to make room for the new one. Then again, I also like the new Viper more than the last one.

Most present better in person. Just hard to convey it all in 2D.
I recently saw in person the new Jag roadster, and it surprised me as being the first car in a long time I thought looked better in pics than in person.

Thanks, Joe - I usually take I-4 to 95 to SR100. I'll exit at the International Speedway split at I-4/I-95. Ill try to take some pics and post em up here.

I've always liked a new car better than the previous generation. I guess I like what people call "progress".

In my opinion, pretty much any car out there looks better in person than photographs. It's nothing new with the C7.
I can tell you what most likely happened and why he walked away. Like most of us back in April or May when we placed our orders we asked what our trade might be worth and they got their little book out and gave him a range. Now it's time to make the deal and the offer for the trade is a lot lower than the lowest number of that range he was quoted back in the spring.
At least he had the intestinal fortitude to walk away. My hat is off to him!

If you're in Orlando you should make the short trip to Stingray Chevrolet (exit 22 off I-4 in Plant City). We had 9 C7s in the showroom yesterday... at least 6 of them had been delivered by the time I left last night but according to our Inventory Manager, we should be getting another truckload in today! Even if the next round of vettes don't make it today, I can guarantee that the torch red 3LT pictured below will be on site!
