Default Problems after Delivery

Just wondering if anyone has noticed any problems with their C7 since taking delivery?

My wife picked hers up 2 days ago (VIN 727) and has had no noticed problems as of yet.

That is really a sad question. If GM does not get this right, then there want be a C8! Congrats on your purchase

I always think it's funny when you post something like I am having issues with my VW Beetle. Then a million people come on and say how amazingly reliable their car with less than 30,000 miles is.

I would be MAD if my car had even a hiccup before 50,000. My 02 lost a steering wheel sensor in 110,000 miles. It also lost the HVAC light which I fixed for free. 110,000 and only a $75 repair.

No one better have issues with their C7s.

To put that in perspective my wife's 12' Elantra with 60k miles

It has had the SEL come on no less than 12 times. It has blown the radiator cap three times and the "advertised 40 mpg" is actually closer to 26 mpg and they got sued and lost. Our settlement for grossly inaccurate information? $200 Bet they will NEVER do that again!

Default one strategy

The only way I'd take the car in for service the first several weeks would be if it didn't start. Then I would try to jump it a couple of times.

People on this Forum will never know! The majority of the buyers for this launch are not even aware of this Forum nor do they care.

Folks, there WILL be people who experience minor issues with their new Corvette. Everything ever made by human kind has had problems from time to time.

If you have at all been observant, you know that there are people present here who, for their own reasons, cannot wait to jump on whatever negative band wagon they can help create. Recognize that their agenda is not yours.

Nothing wrong whatsoever with sharing problems with the Forum, in fact the common experience of the Forum C7 owners will, in fact, prove quite valuable. Just keep it all in perspective and, when in doubt, go out and drive your Vette just a little bit like it is capable of being driven.

Listen I'm a GM man for a long time. So don't go getting sarcastic here. I just asked if anyone had experienced any issues. That are what forums are for. It keeps folks in the know. I don't expect any just as my ZL1 still has no issues. Some of you here need to get a life or a clue! Now I remember why I don't come to this site much.

One of the greatest values of this forum is the wealth of knowledge and advice available to folks who have an issue.

The 7 is all new. Some of them may have some teething problems, and some of those owners may come here looking for advice and help. I hope when that happens, we all can provide such help and advice without knocking the owner or the car. They are machines. Most will be flawless, some will need tweaked and then be fine. My buddy's brand new 911 is at the dealer for something simple (some would call stupid). Will be fixed under warranty, and I bet he never sees the issue again.

This is gonna happen - the way you have to use forums is to determine if this is commonplace problem that 4,5,10,20 people have encountered - Chev will use warranty reports - then you have reason to think it's a "problem". This is the 1st car out of 10 or 15 reported to be delivered here with a CEL..For now, it is a "one off" and not a problem for the model and not a QC problem. If the problem starts surfacing a lot, yes, then Houston, we have a full fledged build/QC problem...

but not now...we have a inconvenience....

[QUOTE=jimmyb;1585031137]2 days, huh? A new high water mark in Corvette build quality.[/QUOT

LOL The C5 i had made it 10 miles before traction error

The C6 made it 60 miles and had to be flat bedded back.

So it will happen. May not know since the majority are not
on forums. Cars are Cars. Guess will know when a recall hits
or Tech bulletins start to appear

Default Nice post

You're a realist like myself. The cars are so complex from a mechanical and computer standpoint, I almost expect some minor adjustment somewhere. I'll be very happy of course if one isn't needed but it's a lot of very high tech parts bolted, welded, and screwed together. What are the odds for something minor like a glove box adjustment to not be needed?

If you can name one single make that has had ZERO customer problems reported...I want to know about it as I will buy 2!! Vehicles costing many times the price of the vette have the same TSB's, recalls, and occasional lemons.

Unfortunately, you always get some of this on any forum. If you think this is bad, try the Camaro 5th Gen forum. It's pretty much unusable.

There is good information here, but sometimes it does take some patience. Hopefully, some other owners will chime in soon.

Michael
