I doubt very seriously that you will find orange peel on any new C7. There are way too many eyes looking and hands touching those body panels during the build process for that to get through. That was my observation from the plant tour last Friday.

I absolutely guarantee there will be orange peel on the C7. It's unavoidable. The test mules were color sanded to eliminate most of it.

At the Stingray Chevrolet intro event there were 8 Stingrays all with varying degrees of orange peel, some worse than others. Not all over but in several areas mostly on the sides near the wheel openings particularly between the back of the door and front of the wheel lip. The large horizontal surfaces looked good.
That being said it is far from the worst I've seen
