Launch control
I know all the c7 are new and still in the break in stage, but has anyone used the launch control, and also does it void any warranty if used....my brother has a Nissan GTR and if he use the launch control it automatic void the warranty... Back to the c7, some of the reviews had problems with the launch control.....so many reviews turned it off....

It's kinda like admitting to racing, because why would you use launch control if you wasn't racing.....gtr owners was blowing out tranny ,so Nissan stated that once launch control was activated one time , the warranty on the car was voided ( to use it you have to go through a sequence like you was a astronaut)....but lucky Chevy doesn't void their warranty by using it..

Yeah, Nissan had that policy, until they had their a__ sued for it! It only applied to MY 2009 cars, starting in MY 2010 Launch control was a supported feature but will lock out if used more than 3 times in a set period of time.
As for the corvette
Yes, we're admitting to racing a race car, that's what the corvette is. If GM started punishing people for racing their race car, they would be in the same boat Nissan was in when they tried to void warranties on the GTR, not to mention the backlash from the community.

Nobody had problems with the launch control and its not something you turn off. Many drivers are faster without it and decide not to use it.

Can someone explain Launch Control.
IS it simular to what is used in drag racing, called Line Lock.
Line Lock is button on the shifter which, when pushed while stopped, allows your front brakes to lock while allowing you to spin your rear tire and disengages, Allows you to get off the line faster.

In the Corvette application, it used for people who want to get off the line consistently time after time that may not be the best at controlling wheelspin.
Here's a video.
