Does anyone know for sure if you are at 3000 or above does that affect you ? It seems the stars need to align to get all the constrained parts available at the same time. In the meanwhile they are building other cars and when do they decide to Integrate the first orders back into the build process ??

Let say they had the following inventory:
1000 FAY dash trim kits
1000 CF Tops
1000 Z51 kits
And the following orders
1)1000 needing only the FAY
2)1000 needing only the CF Top
3)1000 needing only the Z51
4)1000 needing all 3 items
They can choose to make 3,000 people happy (The first 3 lines) or just make 1000 people happy (the last line). It helps their bottom line and throughput to build lines 1, 2, and 3 first.
Just my opinion but I bet that's their thinking.

Not an eternal hold. It will be built, just not as quickly as one with fewer options.
This happens with every new launch. Disbelieve me, ask your dealer. The difference is a newly launched Corvette will get more attention (not to mention have more pre-orders) than almost any other Chevrolet car therefore these constraints are noticed by more people and affect more people.
If one did not want to take a chance, that person should be ordering a Cruze.

My number is ready for allocation, but my dealership tells me there is a constraint on Z51 packages until after Christmas, and orders will not resume until January 2005. The constraint on the exposed carbon fiber may also resolve at that time

My order went in last Friday with my dealer that had allocation for that TPW listed on the constraints report. Went to Status 2000 yesterday with everything, including the Competition seats, which I was able to get, as well.
I guesstimate my car will be here sometime in December.
