Default cd player

It doesn't look like there is a CD player in the C7? That's hard to believe. I still have a tape deck in my '02 and a tape deck/cd player in my '04. I'm looking at a 2015.

Nope.

You'll be forced to get with the times, digital music speaking, if you get a C7.

use the usb port for a flash drive. record all your cd's into it, it sounds great. no more cd's to lug around, just one tiny drive. and they hold quite a few disc's in them, depending on the gb size you buy. just stick it in and play all day long.

I love having 32 gb of death metal in my car at all times
LOL
Was skeptical about digital vs. disc in cars as well, until I got to experience the convenience.
It's awesome.

I'm not great with computers, etc. but I do have an Ipod with about 10,000 songs. With the flash drive in this car, does the info come up on a screen and if so, what screen? I think it's too soon to delete CD's.

I just got all my 8 tracks transferred over to CDs and now you tell me I'm not getting a CD player.

The lack of CD player in the C7 is forcing me into the digital age, also. I've purchased a phono preamp with USB out, and a mini-laptop to digitize my LPs. I have about 1000 albums, so I'll have plenty of tunes.

I'm confused. With 1000 LPs, how would a CD player have helped you? You would still have to digitize the LPs to get them on CDs. You can do the same on a flash drive. Even if you go with absolutely no compression, you could get about 50 albums on a 32GB flash drive.

I was never motivated to digitize my albums because I also have a lot of CDs. A CD player in the C7 would have let me continue to be lazy.

On those occasions when I buy a CD, I play it in the car first in order to decide which songs I want to download into my Ipod.

Not a deal breaker on the C7, just an annoyance.

With Bluetooth you can stream all kinds of music through your iPhone/Internet. My latest car has a CD player and after three months ownership with all the options available, have not used it yet.

it certainly does. and, i think very informative. scrolls to all albums you recorded into it, plus all the songs come up on screen. the only thing it doesn't have are the lyrics on screen. really though, try it you'll like it. i don't even listen to sirius radio any longer.
