That really is a fail on the the plants part. Just about every Corvette guy wants the build sheet, why dont they leave them in the car???
I know they were left in the C5, and probably the same location in the C6. It's stuffed inside the front bumper bar on the driver's side. You would have to remove the nose to gain access to it though.
Edit: it's the white paper you can see through those two holes in my '99
If it is like the C5 & C6, I would say not. However, you can order one from the Corvette Museum.

John, most if not all C5's had a build sheet stuck in the driver's side frame rail. The front end which became buried in the front bumper cover. Only way to get at it was to remove the entire bumper cover which exposed the end of the frame rails. Some times a second one could be found in the passenger compartment but I can't remember where.
I think the Stingray will have one buried somewhere and as time goes by we'll find out where the plant guys or girls leave it.
Likely a stupid question and I'll probably get flamed here...but this isn't going to be a collectors item, so why the desire for a build sheet? I certainly mean no offense, I'm just curious why guys would want this.
The C7 is not delivered with the build sheet. The sheet is taped to the front of the frame during assembly, removed later in the process and is not included with the car. We watched this happen on the tour.
When I took delivery of my C7 at the National Corvette Museum on 9/30, mine was available for a very nominal fee from their archives service and I even had it laminated.
No, my car will never be a collector's item, but it's a fun thing to hang in the garage.
There is no build sheet buried in the Stingray, nor was their one on the C6. The format of the build sheet changed considerably and it has been broken out by work centers. It is placed on the car for the particular build cycle and it is removed and replaced at the various work centers. There are (as I recall) six in total that change during the course of the build. There is one final build sheet as the car transitions in to the last loop overhead before the Hood is assembled to the car. This is removed at the final inspection.

thanks for the info, I didn't know they had changed the process. I became a member of the C5 Registry in '97 while I was waiting on my car, and if I remember it right one or both of the founders were (or claimed to be) responsible for getting the build sheets left in the C5's.
Build sheets in cars are a thing of the past, ended with the C5. You can read a little more about it in this thread but post 9 from talon90 speaks the facts:
Any service writer at a dealership can print one out for you instantly. Got mine while attempting to resolve another issue regarding 3LT dash issues, took the offer as an attempt to smooth out some issues I had with a previous service person.
When I bought my used '15 a year and a half ago the dealer printed it out for me at no charge. You will have to furnish them the VIN. Might try that. Mine had the widow sticker folded up and lying in the console so was lucky with that.

Just to hang in the garage or something?
Yep, just a lil something to hang on to. No real important reason, take your flame suit off !
Thanks
Rich
When I bought my 2018 Stingray last year from MacMulkin both my build sheets were in the hatch area of my car. They even had masking tape in the top and bottom of each one, as if they were taped to something during the build process.

My 17 Z06 had all three pages of the build sheet under the padded carpet mat in the hatch compartment.
They still had the masking tape attached.
The dealer removed the window sticker for me upon purchase and had it with the build sheets as well.
When I picked up my C6 at Museum Delivery...they gave me a laminated copy of my build sheet and window sticker..
Had the build sheet autographed at Carlisle by, Will Cooksey, Harlen Charles, Gary Claudio and Tom Wallace...the whole corvette team.....it as nice to meet them in person..
I think the new owner was impressed with the documents when he bought the car...
As stated before you can purchase a build sheet and window sticker for your car from the corvette museum...
