Default Wheel Well surprise

Even though I looked at the c7 in Blooming Gold, and I have one on order, I went to a local dealer to look at it again. I must say I was surprised! First rather than having plastic inner fenders in the wheel wells , it look like the have indoor outdoor carpet.. Second it looks smaller than the c6. I'm coming out of a 08 convertible. I think my 08 had more space than the C7 and I had a manual top. Third, the hood only requires a slight pressure to close where the C6 was lift and drop from the center. Forth, the seats don't lean forward so there seems to be some lost space there.nIt is a very nice car, I like it a lot but it sure seems different.

Seat do not lean forward. Maybe why they do not flop around like a C6 ????

My Nissan Leaf has the same inner fender material. It stays reasonably clean looking and the stones don't make horrible noise when flung up by the tires.

I believe some of you misunderstood my post. Bottom line it is completely different , it looks smaller, less bulky and a Lott of new items like the wheel well liners. It's going to be fun to get acquainted with this car. Even the engine looks smaller as well as power brake reservoir and other engine accessories. Mine is being made as we speak. I can hardly wait!

I wonder if that wheel well material has to do with sound deadening...or maybe weight....

AND GOOD POST OP - some of us learned from it!

I sat in one today and I felt snug and it fit like an old shoe. I'm 6'5" and I felt there was plenty of room and no leg problems. I mean it really felt just right. Started it up and the exhaust sounded like aftermarket and just right.
