I see a error in the spelling above I think it's spelled "Stealership"

This could be a new "market adjustment" record.

It could be worse... The dealership in my area did not take any pre-orders initially and they claimed they were only going to be selling to local buyers. Come to find out they had ulterior motives for no pre-orders. It was so they didn't have to sell it at a set price and now they are going to the highest bidder. The last coupe msrp'd for 71k and it went for 90k to a gentleman who lives in Cali. They certainly will never see my business, and like with my grandsport I'll once again buy from a forum dealer.

Someone would be nuts to pay over MSRP for a C7, but it's not my money so they can have at it.

My first Ctsv was a sedan that the dealer traded for from a NJ dealer. Had a $7200 market adjustment sticker on the window.

Why do we get bent out of shape when a dealer asks for more than MSRP? In any transaction you can set a price and if someone wants to pay it that is their choice. Why do we feel the need to set prices for everyone else? If the deal does not appeal to you, you have the freedom to walk. This is not water or oxygen or food! All dealers are businesses looking to make more money and if someone is willing to give it to them, them more power to them I say.

I've heard directly from a dealer of some charging $20,000 over MSRP. But the 1990 ZR1s went for as much as $60,000 over MSRP when they first came out!
