Black wheels are difficult because it's hard to see contrast. All you see is a mass of black.....at least for me, that's the way it is. Once you get close up and see things, it gets easier.

on white exteriors, the black wheels looks amazing.
All other colors, especially black, over time i believe the owners will become board with them ("fad"), no offense. Nothing wrong with picking up a set of Black and Chrome as time goes on lol
Chrome is timeless and the silver painted is just a cheaper "timeless" alternative.. All imho, but coming from someone who gets to see many modified new vehicles (especially GM) at my friend's Hi performance shop.. When it's my turn to finally pull the trigger on a C7 (C8 lol), I know it will keep me up at night on the choices of wheels, ext/int color and options... I don't know how you guys figure out how to "order" one without remorse lol, many props...
OP, that exterior color takes me back to the first vette (C4) that ever caught my eye at 12yo, a convertible in a blue similar to yours and i thought to myself, after dismissing all those other corvettes as just an "old man's sports car/midlife crisis" (as i was an IROC and Monte SS, GN fan), I could relate to the youthfulness of that color making me see the corvette for something other than what i believed as a young auto enthusiast...
Very beautiful C7, best of luck with it and God Bless!

Flew up to Dallas (from San Antonio) to pick up our new baby. Randy Butler, our sales guy from Clay Cooley Chevrolet, picked us up at the airport.
We showed up at Clay Cooley to find that they have a nice assortment of C6s (still beautiful machines). Then I saw her. Glistening there in the sun like a Bond girl coming out of the ocean in a skimpy bikini. Truly a stunning shade of blue. If you haven't seen Laguna blue in person, let me be the 1st to tell you that most pictures do not do it justice.
We took care of the financing paperwork and then Randy very patiently showed me how everything worked. Yes, there's a lot to absorb.
Then we drove in DFW rush hour traffic from the dealership to our hotel. It took 30 minutes to drive 6 miles. So I really cannot give a full report about how it drives/handles/responds yet. Of course you have all read reviews about how the C7 drives from far better writers and far better drivers than I am. I can tell you that I love NPP exhaust and the Rev Matching.
We did get quite a few gawkers in traffic and the valet guys at the ******* resort were thrilled when we pulled up. Randy Butler, our sales guy, said that we had better get used to the gawking and picture taking. The C7 It is, after all, a real looker.
Also; a fellow forum member, who goes by the moniker of Wacky Bob, who lives quite close to us, picked up his new baby this evening. Kinda cool.
To be honest, I am still a bit overwhelmed. I will amend this review after my drive back to San Antonio, on Sunday.
In the mean time; if you are looking for a great sales guy in DFW, Randy Butler is your guy. Give him a call.

Gorgeous car for sure. Add me to the list of guys that like chrome over black wheels.
Although shiny black chrome type look better but hate the flat black look. Also on one of my cars have black and silver wheels but sorry have no pic . Its on an eagle talon race car.
I also am not a big fan of red and blue together. I personally would have done the calipers in different color not red but it still works allright. I would never put red interior in a blue car like black or maybe a nice beige something two tone could be nice as well.
Again just my personal preference. Also like the body color spoiler and mirrors with the chrome wheels.

Congrats on the beautiful car. I think I'm ordering the Laguna Blue, saw a few at Barrett Jackson a few weeks ago and it really pops. They had one with chrome wheels and one with black, they both looked great.
