Default C7 vs. C6 comparison

Can some forum members who have taken delivery already of the C7, and who have owned a C6 (any model at this point will do), write-up a comparison when they find the time? Owners like myself would find this helpful as we ponder jumping on the bandwagon and trading in our C6s. My local dealers have plenty unsold units arriving daily.
thanx!

The Michelin tires alone make a meaningful difference in traction, grip and smoothness. This is from someone who just put the Stingray tires on his base C6

Every time someone has said this so far, the price turned out to be an interesting part of the equation. WHAT DEALERS, WHAT PRICE?

To the OP. The C7 is an almost entirely new car. The C6 was an evolution of the C5, and better of course. But the C7 is a giant leap forward in terms of technology and design. The interior alone is worth the price.

I'm sure the OP gets that. I have the same question so I'll preface this by putting the question this way - Coming from a base C6 MY13' no Z51, to a C7 with a Z51, how is the handling, ride quality, road noise and overall feel? Forget the technology part, that's a no brainier.

A base model C6 comparison to a C6 Z51 is a lot different. The Z51 is after all a performance handling option. Going to a C7 Z51 will be more so since the handling limits have increased.

Yes, I know the limits increase. I ordered the Z51 for the C7 but it wasn't available for MY 13 unless you bought the GS or above, which I didn't like the "gills" on the fenders. IMO, it looked stupid. I liked the 427 and ZR1 look much better but didn't want to go there because I was trading my car within a few months. My C7 is already at the dealership on the east coast, just waiting for the paperwork and transport to take it to CA.

Let me second that question. I've got about 500 miles on my C7 Z51 now. I like it a lot, but I'm a little surprised at the road noise and ride stiffness. Comparisons from those with personal knowledge of both C6's and C7's would be useful.

C51 with or without MRC? Z51 without MRC is said to be very stiff. Base is softer. MRC is both

Receiving unsold units daily? In Rhode Island? What dealer? The cars they are advertising on their websites are spoken for. Highly unlikely that they ordered for stock although maybe someone backed out of a deal.

+1...hogwash... if there are unsold units, there would be LOTS of people picking them up rather than waiting. Having said that, in the northern parts of the country, I suspect sales will slow as winter approaches and people don't want the car until Spring.

Yes. I've been driving a luxury sedan until now, so it may just be a question of getting acclimated. Just asking to see how it compares. Whatever the answer, I'm not giving it back!

You really can't compare. The C6 was old school with new body panels on old tech.
We all agree the C6 should have been more than it was, as far as quality

What is your deal, man, what is your deal??? You barely are able to speak coherently for yourself. You CERTAINLY DO NOT speak for ANYONE else.

Well OP since your dealer has that many why not test drive one for yourself?

Balise Chevy has a Cyber Gray I saw in person last Friday they wanted to sell me but I couldn't get past the color. The come in, last a day or two, then get sold. They also have a black one there RIGHT NOW but the the sticker is too high.
