You shouldn't add any words, in this case (jackhall) to another CF member's comments when you "quote" them. That is putting words in their post that they did not use.

Here is the chain of posts. You should learn to read the thread and take the posts in proper context.

You have the right to believe and state I am "like a negative farm of crappola all the time", but lottavettes was agreeing with my comment on b4i4getit's post.

I have opinions also, and will state my case based on facts as I know them to be regarding the broad topic or specific point under discussion. I really do not believe I was negative in this thread other than calling bull-**** when appropriate.

Enjoy your day.

Dealer has notified GM and ordered them. They were supposed to be the upgraded Stingray type.
Also strange, carbon fiber interior appearance package was originally ordered (July 12) and then taken off (July 15) when Chevrolet notified dealer the CB was on constraint. Well, the car came in with the CB interior package, go figure.
All in all I figure I came out ahead.

I mentioned the missing door sill phenomenon to my dealer today and got a very logical explanation that fits with the above post. If you order the "STINGRAY" sills, they are LPO, dealer installed options and the car is shipped without door sills in anticipation of the dealer placing the sills during PDI. The fact that the STINGRAY sills aren't yet widely available is a different kettle of fish. My dealer preordered enough far enough ahead of time to have them on hand for their LPO's.

I ordered the Stingray sill plates and center wheel caps. My dealer told me that they would install the Stingray items and that I would get the original caps and sills in a box.

Perhaps there's a misunderstanding between us, but I am sure this is what he said.

FWIW (Not a hi-jack, just another example)

In my hometown, a guy had a 2012 ZR1 with Z06 sills..

GM eventually sent his dealer the correct parts, and the situation was taken care of. So even on the $100K+ model (previous generation, I know), stuff like this happened.

I was lucky I ordered them but still got the regular door sills, so i am going to sale the stingray ones when they come in, along with my cargo mat and floor mats.

The only three vehicles ordered at my local dealer with the LPO Stingray sill plates came from the plant with no sill plates installed.

I want to apologize for this huge oversight! If y'all need help getting your door sills please let me know. It sounds like your dealers are taking good care of the situation. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist.

Extremely difficult requiring both time, patience and good adhesive remover. Doubt seriously that a truck driver took them.

Someone pointed out earlier that the C7 no longer uses adhesive. The sill plates snap into holes in the body. Apparently when the plant is building a car that calls for the dealer to add the LPO Stingray sills, the plan is to leave off the "corvette" sills. This would explain why QC sees no problem when they see missing sill plates.
