MY .02 worth. I love the black wheels, and I have not liked the chrome wheels since the early-mid 60's. Although I will admit that there are some colors that are OK with chrome.
Fortunately for me I have just not seen that color yet.
As has been said before this is a no win debate, but I don't think that it is an age thing so much as a style thing.
No matter what wheels you have, factory or aftermarket, one thing that we will all agree on is that the Corvette is one good looking automobile.
It is fresh and calls for attention, fun to drive and fun to be seen in. Great bang for the buck and has a nice brotherhood.
I know it's an old thread but I just joined so here I go.
I'm a big fan of black wheels on a light colored car. AW, BS or even TR or VY. It's about the contrast for me.
Now a machined wheel on a Gray or black car has it's place, too.
Whatever you like it's okay with me. I just get tired of some people criticizing others when in reality it's just obnoxious BS! Just sayin'! BTW I've never gone up to anyone and said "Your car would look better with whatever wheels, trim or baloons!" It's simply ignorant in my book,
