It is not going to work. Unless all the trolls take the pledge. Not going to happen..how do you enforce restrictions on an open forum?
exactly, it's "forum life" and is like any bar you walk into these days - sit at the bar and you will find an idiot who likes to argue/split hairs, several nice people and a few that are plain wacked..it's just society and on a forum it's the wild west..it'll never be any diff....
Would this include performance figures as well or just vehicle issues? Based on some threads going around now the car seems to be destined as a 12+ 1/4 mile car. I think the corvette comunity would want to know what she's turning, not just owners!
Dan, it is pretty clear that what is being proposed would be limited to vehicle issues. There is a sub-forum for tech/performance. Those discussions should be there.
Non-owners are being asked not to post in this proposed thread. They are not being asked not to read it and learn from it.
I understand what it means "zymurgy," but as I've said if an actual owner is having a specific issue and a soon to be owner or perspective owner wants to inquire I would think he should be able to do so. Maybe a sub section should be started with only verified owners being able to post for this concept to work.
As for the tech/performance stuff it appears all of those threads are posted in the C7 general less the vendors for the most part who post regularly in tech.
OP doesn't want to make a big deal over open forums.

No big deal about open forums, first amendment rights, monitoring or anything else. Just would like owners to tell me what problems they've encountered.
