I'm # 44 on the Kerbeck list. But I'm in carbon fiber top limbo and currently at 3400. This Friday we decided to go to AC for dinner with a friend and our wives and if time I thought I would stop by Kerbeck to show my friend the new C7. I sent a note to Sam ,my salesmen, and Dave that I might stop by around 6 pm and were there any VY's in the showroom. Dave answered and said none were there but he was expecting 2 truckloads later that day.
So a little after 6 my friend and I walked in the show room full of C7's. As we started to roam around a gentlemen comes up to me extends his hand and says "hi I'm Rich" I say "I'm Larry I already ordered one from you guys I just stopped by to show my friend what they look like." Rich said what is your number ? #44 I reply . Rich then says my last name ! I'm thinking how did he know that ? then Rich said you ordered a VY car. Again how does he know that ? next he asked didn't I originally order a LRG car. So now its getting weird I was here back in May to do the paperwork and put down my deposit no way he can remember all this stuff, being the skeptic that I am I'm thinking Sam or Dave must have told him I was stopping by and he must have reviewed my file. I liked the extra effort of the salesmen. Finally I say to Rich how did you know all my stuff and he says I remembered the car you drove in ?????????? I drove in in my wife's QX56 just as I did back in May now I know there is not a lot of the QX56's around but it is not that unique that a salesmen would remember it 5 months later and I know that was not in my file. Is this guy that good that he can remember stuff about their customers ? Rich then took us to the back lot to show us the VY Z51 car with carbon fiber top and carbon flash mirrors just like the one I ordered that had just been unloaded.
So off we went to AC for dinner at Carmines. Eating dinner I was telling the wives the story about Rich in the showroom. Just as we finished dinner I turn to see none other then Rich standing next to our table. He said Hi Mr C how was dinner. ??? I said good and introduced him to the wives. He said he was here with the BG factory guy and that they would like to pay for our dinner. Are you kidding me ? he didn't need to do that, we wouldn't have even known he was there if he didn't come over to us.
