Default Launch Control--step by step

I recently posted that I would like some info regarding the launch control. I have a fully loaded C7 automatic. I know it is in the manual but to me it is kind of confusing. So I was wondering if anyone could let me know a step by step for the launch control for my particular vehicle.
I appreciate it. Thanks.

The Auto is the simplest:

1. Put the car in LC mode (double touch the TC button)
2. Steering wheel must be straight
3. Press brake pedal to floor (or as hard as you can (very important or it won't work)
4. Press gas pedal to the floor (the RPM's will level out around 4k)
5. Take foot off of brake and away you go go go....

Manual is as follows:

1. Press TC button twice (to off)
2. Steering wheels have to be straight
3. Press clutch in and put it in 1st gear while keeping clutch engaged
4. Press gas to the floor and hold it there (RPM's will maintain 4k)
5. Let clutch out and hold on... also DO NOT LET UP ON THE GAS. Doing so disengages the Launch Control option at that point

Do you just dump the clutch or do you let it out somewhat slower than an dump?

Driveway

Seriously though, probably an open wider than normal road, or a big empty parking lot.

I've tried it both ways and it's better NOT to dump the clutch but don't do it slowly either. A normal let out of the clutch is all you need to do and you will be fine. Once you do it, it will come easy for you...

body torques, car becomes uncontrollable, something breaks or you crash. end of story!!! look at corvette crashes on you tube. save yourself from kicking yourself and now worrying about fixing your wrecked car. been racing since the 60's. was fun not now. just my experienced opinion.

is this different for a Z51 magnetic ride car with PTM?

i keep seeing in the owners manual it says its within competitive driving mode "except for Z51 ect......"

which of the 5 PTM settings does it need to be in?

These instructions are for the base car and Z51 without mag ride. I can't speak of mag ride because I don't have it...

ok. mine should be here late this week so I will experiment.

I think you put the MODE to track then you press the TC button twice which brings up the PTM menu...my only question is does it have to be in a certain PTM mode like there is sport the sport with active handling off then there is a pure track

thats what i need to find out
