Default Museum delivery logistics

I really want to do this but I'd like to know what I'm in for. To those that have done it is it like:

Fly into Nashville?
Rent car one way (where do you drop it off in BG? at the Museum?)
Do you need to stay over night or is it all done in one day.
Would the factory buyer's tour be too much for someone not able to walk long distances or stand for long periods? (My wife)

Thanks for your help...

Fly into Nashville? Yes

Rent car one way (where do you drop it off in BG? at the Museum?) Leave it at the museum.

Do you need to stay over night or is it all done in one day. Done in one day. More like 1/2 day

Would the factory buyer's tour be too much for someone not able to walk long distances or stand for long periods? (My wife) There is a fair amount of walking. Not sure if they allow wheelchairs in the factory but if so that might help.

I'd say most of the above is true. To do it leisurely, I'd fly in the night before. As the guides say, you can make it as short or long as you want. Frankly, if you don't want to take a long tour of the Museum that's fine because you can always come back and do it yourself. But I'd still do it the first time with your own, personal guide.

As far as long in the Plant, I'd take the time but understand your question. Check the NCM site for tours of the Plant or call the Museum staff; they will know the answer to wheel chairs in the Plant. I do think it is worth it to take the time (I'd say, up to 3 or 4 hours---you'll both learn a lot, and enjoy the car more).

Enterprise rental car has a long standing museum delivery deal to ask for. Rent the car at the Nashville airport and leave the keys with your museum delivery host and Enterprise recovers their car from the museum. Couldn't be easier.

PS - be sure to obtain the Enterprise Nashville airport direct phone number and make the reservation directly with the Nashville center. NCM will have the phone number for you.
