Default Got the word

Just contacted GM customer service. I am in shock. Ordered the
car 9/24/2013 with Z-51. I was at 3300 status on 10/2. I was
just informed my car is done and awaiting shipment to my dealer.
For all of you waiting for a Z car, don't give up hope. I never thought
mine was going to make it, and here she comes. CRM, will post
pictures when it hits the dealership. Good LUCK to all.

Do you live in the sticks or in a major metro area? That could affect the delivery time from Bowling Green to your dealer.

Wouldn't it also matter how distant he is from BG and how they route the truck for stops? He could be "in the sticks' and yet be only 50 miles from the plant ???

There are always exceptions, but living in an out of the way place close to the plant where only a couple of dealerswill be getting C7's and then maybe only one C7 in the delivery, could cause his car to sit at Bowling green for 10 days waiting for a truck that is heading his way. But living in St Louis where 14 dealers surrounding St Louis are selling C7's means that trucks full of C7's heading for St Louis could be leaving the plant every couple of days, instead of every ten days.

Even in southern California, a very long way from the plant, a truck could be leaving everyday for the LA area, taking 3-4 days to get there, but still faster than on a truck that took 10 days to fill that's going to Toad Suck, Arkansas..

Considering BG's location, the sticks starts on the other side of the I-65 underpass ....................

That is fast! So, why do we hear constraint and 120-150 day delays in getting a TPW? I want to order, but I want the car in March, not right now. Just too many things like kids weddings and the holidays and of course, winter. When would I order to get a CF roof Z51 in March?

At the time his car was ordered there were no constraints for the Z-51.

And then.... for every ying there is a yang!
Ordered May ,3000 8 Jun, Built complete 5 Oct, loaded on truck 7 Oct,
as of today (18 Oct) ....... nothing
Most interesting of this is another was shipped same day to a dealer no more than 30 miles from my dealer (northern Calif) and it arrived 14 Oct. I don't think this problem is on GM!
