I have spoken to the folks on GM Chat twice recently and have been told that they are not assigning TPW's to Stingray orders any longer, or at least for now. Basically they are saying they're getting too much conflicting info and confusing everyone so the orders are just moving from 3300 to 3400 to 3800 with no TPW.
I was previously at 3300 then 3400 with a TPW of 10/14 but then moved back to 3000. In the last two weeks moved forward to 3300 and 3400. Not sure why, but glad I'm back on track.
They told me today that they would expect my build to start next week.
I understand their situation ....what is easier to do is get your VIN and grab a calendar....pm somebody here that knows what day he was built and put his vin in the calendar.add 135 to each day going forward until you get to your vin. It's plus or minus a couple days of that date.
This will help...the last car built on oct 8th was 3499...
If you check Ken Fichtner's constraint report each week, you will find a TPW for that particular constraint report just above the constraints. Not for a particular order but for orders put in during that week of the report. Surprisingly, it proved very accurate for our order. We too never saw or heard a TPW for our order from the dealership or GM.

That's the simple way, but use five day weeks and account something for holidays. I don't believe they are in the 6 day/week mode anymore.
The more complex equation deals with constraints (shortages), models (convertible prod begins in Dec) and option mix. Today's Z51 constraints don't mean Z51s aren't being built, just that there is a bottleneck in the supply chain on parts that complete a Z51. They are not able to build these cars at a linear rate. A problem for CF and Z51 at this time, but who knows the next thing could be something affecting all C7s.
Vins are only given out when they can build the car...use the 130add way and you'll pretty much know.....
That is very likely. I guess I was more concerned about those that are trying to predict timing if they ordered on a specific date. Which is a more complex problem.

You need the specific date if you want to see your car go down the line.
My order for a base C7 was accepted on Oct 1. It was made around Oct 15th Vin 4195 and just heard from the dealership today that they have the Invoice and expected delivery will be 10/24. Looks like I will be be able to drive it for a few days before the snow falls in Omaha!
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
