Default So Few Problems!

It's no real surprise that so many people are posting that they've had no problems with their new Stingrays. Unfortunately, these go mostly unnoticed.

Perhaps there should be a sticky thread for trouble-free posts.

When Ford came out with the Shelby GT500 there was a flywheel problem .Every Shelby from 07 to 08 would have this problem in time. Off warranty and it's a $4000 job unless you go aftermarket. Now that is what I call a problem. Buy a low mileage Shelby today and it will in time raise it's ugly head. Heat will warp the flyweel and destroy every thing in line with it.

So many people think a modern Corvette is just a bunch of mechanical parts bolted together and painted. But think about how just how many wire connectors there are, how many transistors make up one board. There are 100's of thousands of individual parts that make up the electronic systems alone. It is quite a feat of engineering that it all works together at all, even more so consistently across so many builds.
Couple all of the this with a brand new car on a brand new line it is a testament to the great people designing and build this amazing car. Sure every once in a great while something goes wrong, they are not perfect. I have yet to hear anything other than great customer service taking care of the problems. In fact we have heard a lot more non owners complaining than actual owners.
Keep up the good work Chevy!

I have very minor gripes about mine (#2895) but overall I'm super happy about my purchase. The car is seriously fantastic.

BTW, I knew going in that there may be some issues (even possible major issues) due to being the first of its kind. I knew that it's possible that my car will sit at my dealer's service bay for a week or two. These were the risks I was willing to take just to be one of the first with a C7. I have no regrets; no buyer's remorse.

I seriously love this car. And complaining about any little minor issue with it would be like dating a supermodel and complaining about an out of place hair on her head.

There really is no need for a thread for this. Isn't it a given that if someone isn't not posting a problem, then their car is problem free?

You see threads relating to problems because those indivduals either want to inform of a problem or they just want to vent. Thats the reason there is a forum. To help out others. It makes no sense to have a thread saying "No problems here!" Thats the goal of GM when they send out every vehicle, duh. Let people post their problems and the forum do its job of helping out. I kinda see your point of this thread. Your saying hey, "All the C7's aren't broke, see." But again, its a given fact that there are more problem free C7's running around than others with issues. Relax, the C7 is a hit.

LOL! Here's something ironic:

I'm NEVER punctual to work. Since I was 18, I never have showed up to work on time more than maybe 10% of the time. (No exaggeration.) But my work has always been of really good quality and aside from being late 90% of the time, my work ethics and output has always been stellar, which is why I don't get fired.

But since I purchased the C7, I have been waking up nearly an hour early for this last week and showing up to work right on time and sometimes ahead of schedule. My body has been anxious to the point that I'm beating my alarm clock!

Go figure.

Wow ....your lucky.....In my shop (which I own), I don't care how good you are "on time" is part of the job description and if somebody is perpetually late they wont be around long. Things like that will and do spread through the business like a plague "if that guy gets away with it so can I" mentality and sooner or later everybody has a bad attitude/work ethic, production goes down along with profits.
Ok thread hijack over.

They changed the clutch material and all was well. The initial tsb did call for $6k in parts. But all 2010 models forward had the new clutch setup. Once the tsb was done, it was butter smooth. I had an 09 that had the tsb done.

VIN 1363, my car is far better than I ever imagined. This Vette brought me back to GM after 30 years of imports. My hat is off to GM and the entire Corvette design Team. They have done a spectacular effort on this vehicle. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

In fact we have heard a lot more non owners complaining than actual owners.

They may be non owners of a C7 but they are owner of past corvettes which
show the poor workmanship of Corvettes overall. So more than qualified to come
in and say gm still does not have the skill to fix stuff from previous generations.
Just keep the pedaling the same ole issues on the new

You're absolutely correct. I had co-workers that tried to get away with it. But they didn't. I've been very lucky as far as this goes. I won't lie, I definitely get treated differently by every employer. I don't know why. I also move through the ranks fast too. LOL! Sometimes I feel like Ferris Beuler.

No they need to go on the C6 forum and complain until they own a C7 .

That doesn't make sense....how could someone find issues with a car they don't even own?
