Apparently this was at a Ride and Drive event at the Texas State Fair, someone driving a '14 Impala lost it and plowed into these cars sitting there....

GD Impalas.
I hate Impalas... A bit off topic... but because I've come across quite a few cocky Impala drivers on the road that think their 300hp SS is enough to test my patience. The friggin' hoodlum rims they put on are enough to weigh their *** down to start with.

When I drove the cars at the Texas State Fair a couple weeks ago they did not verify insurance. My ride along guy also didn't say squat when I punched it on the last part weaving through the banners.
You had to have a valid drivers license and pass a breathalyzer test. I'm guessing the person who did this probably just walked away. I don't see how they can do anything to you if you wreck the car.

I drove the truck and the Stingray yesterday at this event. All the vehicles had Texas Manufacturer plates and the Stingray I drove had a tad over 1100 miles. I suspect these are probably show mules that get paraded around the state for various functions and what not. The leather on the side of the drivers seat in the one I was in was already tearing apart toward the headrest. I bet these will never be sold to the public. Maybe reconditioned and sold to rental car company, sent back to GM and studied or put out to pasture.
Yup, all but the dark green one being test drove were pre-production Vettes, so not but deal.....still doesn't say much about the dumb $h!t driving the Impala
