Default Wheel well liners!

What's up with the trunk carpet material on the wheel well liners. Everything, and I mean everything sticks to them.

Put more insulation inside. This is the most stupid thing I have ever seen on a car.

How would you know if ANYTHING "sticks to them" without first asking current C7 owners?

Okay, maybe not everything, but I know enough that you will have to vacuum your wheel well if your enter a car show! Smooth plastic would have been just fine.

Think I'll keep my zee for a few more years.

Only thing that has been sticking to mine are leaves. I prefer it over the plastic ones because they are easier to clean!

Really? That material is some of the hardest stuff to clean. I know this because I wash my wife's car which has the same stuff in the trunk. Once it latches on to something, it doesn't like to let it go.

You bought and own your zee for shows? Then you must have a hose? Not to mention routinely removing the wheels to clean the barrels and the brake/suspension parts? Come on man, why are you bothering with this thread?

EDIT--- just saw your "rough day" comment.

I thought it was a legitimate gripe.

I was at a car show last week that had two C7's there. Neither one of them took an award because of all the leaves and grass stuck to their liners. The owners weren't even aware of the trash in there.

I'm not a waxer but I do enter a car show once or twice a year and detailing is everything.

I only have 900 miles on my car and washed my car 2 times, Any debris just falls off with regular hose pressure.

We had some 6 days of non-stop rain and I drove my car every day. Very low maintenance so far.

Daily driver here as well, quick hit with the hose and it is all gone. This is a non issue an I hear it keep the noise down.

I'm just waiting for the "I just washed my car and how do I get the water out of the door mirrors?" threads to start.

I heard the coating is radioactive waste material that the NRC is trying to get rid of without anyone noticing.

Seriously though, anyone entering a show that doesn't check the wheel wells isn't really serious about the show, are they? As for normal, everyday use, I don't think it's a major issue.

The reason for the liner is to cut down the noise when on gravel roads. And, who cares what's in the wheel wells? If enough builds up, just drive on a bumpy road and it will fall off. Corvettes are for driving!

Hit it with clear poly then some never wet (works great), or spray it with plasti-dip. It makes it easier to clean, but you will have to re-dip them every couple of months.
