Default 2015 Release Date

Any chance the 2015's will be out before June?
I post for question two reasons: it seems to be a pretty common occurrence with many car companies (Ford's 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 Mustang all went on sale in the Spring; Jeep did the same with the Grand Cherokee, and even Acura did so with our 2014 RDX); and for those of us Northerners who use our sports cars mostly from May to November, getting a 2015 in May or June 2014 would be far better than a 2014 model at that time or waiting until September for a 2015.

Historically and I "think" per union contract the factory closes down for 2 weeks in July. Then when they reopen the new model year starts coming out. But with this model the constraints and the later arrival of the vert who knows? If I have the vacation deal correct probably can get a 15 in Late July August for sure.

Just my expectation tho...... the price will rise a couple of Ks and or the more popular options will cost more too.

But maybe some better discounts, who knows?

NOT BEFORE JUNE......if they hold to past practice.

The new model year usually starts production 3rd-4th week of June with "some" early deliveries in early July. But the plant usually closes for summer vacation first two weeks in July so the bulk of new models show up after that.

I can't see why the price would go up 2K. After all that was spent by GM on the 2014, the price was up only raised 1.5K and the 2015 won't
change much.

I believe GM has already stated they will run production of 14's through August of this year. Read that here maybe in a post by a forum dealer.

Tentatively, 2014 production ends 8/8/14 and 2015 production begins 8/11/14 per Rick Conti.

Perhaps Rick can post where he got that information. I have quoted Rick Conti to two major corvette dealerships and they have not seen that information. According to the two large dealerships I have spoken too no information regarding this has came to their attention.

Rick's inside info is usually very good. Here's his blog entry on this topic: http://www.corvetteconti.com/blog/?p=20776

Thanks. I had already seen his blog, and I am not saying he is wrong. I just find it interesting that neither of the two dealers I spoke too had received the same memo.....strange! The two dealers I spoke too are in the top 10 for Stingray volume in the country.

Chance for 2015 by June...none

Wait to see what the Z51 option cost..plus they will not give away 8 speed automatics either...

First of all I don't really care what they raise the price by.....and secondly I must ask....do you work for GM or are you simply passing on information from forum sources other than GM? I am simply asking why Conti is getting information that other major players are not. Seems very odd to me.

No because you are a smart A$$ who knows everything and has all the answers. No matter what I say you will just have some remark that proves your an idiot.

I have all the confidence in my ability and information. I see it as your job to prove me wrong not my job to convince you of anything.

There were recent reports on the forums that the 2015 Stingray won't offer the 8-speed automatic, it will only be offered on the Z06. Was that confirmed?
