What does the color over ride do?

It lets you order "non recommended" exterior/interior color combinations......like Lime Rock Green with Adrenaline Red interior.

Default Color override of WHAT?
The crap shoot part of the ordering process is that there is no information available about what is and is not an over ride color combination. You want red in a blue car= OVER RIDE...but no online or other info to tell you that. Want Adrenaline Red in a Crystal Red Tintcoat, White, Black, Cyber Gray = no over ride....got it? If you're not dealing with a Corvette expert at a high Corvette dealer, then put down your grand and take a spin on the Corvette Color Wheel of Fortune. It is the costliest crap game in town.

Actually, I remember seeing a list of the override combinations someplace. It might have been a copy of the dealer order sheets posted somewhere here on the forum. I remember that there were only like 2 or 3 combinations that were flagged. I was surprised how few were, actually.

Actually that helps a lot but what "approved interior colors go with what outside colors? Should I just plan on paying the override tax no matter what combo I go with?

If is not in the list as "A", it requires the override (The latest version of this can be found here):

Red interior is the only one that requires an override, in 4 exterior colors:

Laguna Blue
Night Race Blue
Velocity Yellow
Lime Rock Green

Go with the over-ride and then just try and sell it a couple of years down the road. Lots of luck. It's called bad taste I think.
