Remote Starter Question
Can the remote start and other functions be done with a smartphone app like other GM cars or is it strictly limited to starting only via the key fob?

So, that will start the car from anywhere, right? Can you also adjust the climate control functions and do other things with it?

Anywhere you have internet service.
No, when you remote start it it will either turn the AC / Ventilated seats (if you have it) or heat on / heated seats depending on the ambient temperature.
This only applies to Automatic Cars.

No, the climate control comes on at the temp you left it at when you shut off the car. You can't change it from the app. There is a setting to alloy the seat heat/cool to come on or not but that setting is on the infotainment screen and also cannot be adjusted from the app.

Hey BMadden,
The OnStar App is really cool! Check out the website for more information;

There are so many things that you can now do from your smart phone. You can check your fuel and oil levels too!

I am sorry, I misspoke!
I was so excited about finding the website and all that the app has to offer. It does only show the Oil life remaining.
Thanks for the picture Glen.
I really want to get this app too!

Do all models come with remote start capabilities? I don't remember the option showing up anywhere.

I know it's a zero cost thing but not sure if it's standard or an option. The Chevy website shows it as a $0 option

Once you remote start or turn it on with the app, what do you have to do once you get in the car..... I cant seem to put it in reverse.

You did not notice you don't have any gauges? you still have to push the start button..the engine is running, but it's not fully energized until you get in the car and start it like normal...go over it again in the manual...
