Can I add to the question? How well will the air conditioned seats work if the surface is leather or micro fiber? Would it limit the function if we chose the micro fiber.

No. Both surfaces have holes to allow the ventilation to work.
My concern about the "suede" surfaces - especially the steering wheel - on my GS - is: what is the preferred method to clean it? I have fairly sweaty palms, so after a year, it's starting to show some "use."
This stuff is really easy to clean. Literally just wipes up. Unlike cowhide suede, this stuff doesn't absorb dirt. It seems to repel it, actually.
So far, I haven't had any trouble getting in or out of my car with the suede. All the people saying they can't get out because they can't "slide" out, I don't know where they're getting that from. Yes, you stay planted better with suede. But it's not like you can't slide out. If you can't slide out, then it's possible they need to hit the gym or something and get back to average person's strength.
The microfiber is fantastic on the uppers (A-pillars, headliner, etc.) -- like alcantara headliners on luxury cars -- but in my opinion does not look great on the seats. I don't need any extra help in staying planted in the seats, since they fit so snugly to start with. And I prefer the regular leather seats when getting in and out of the car.
